I’m Stephen Twohig I have been the owner of Belmont villa since 1997, when I took over from my parents. I have lived in Frome all of my life and always had a great interest in the local community, from sporting activities to serving as a retained fire fighter for 24years. I take an active roll at Belmont villa, I am based in the main office and have daily contact with residents , staff & visitors.

I’m Sharon welsh I am a qualified nurse and have been the manager of Belmont villa since 1996. I enjoy leading a dedicated team. every day of my work is different, I pride myself on doing the best I can to help the residents and staff make the most of every day.
I was born in Frome and am Stephens sister, both my mother and grandmother were nurses in Frome.

My name is Jackie Wyatt, I am the administrator at Belmont villa. I have worked for the Twohig family for over 25 years,during my work I have undertaken most roles within the home including cooking, cleaning and caring. Belmont villa is a homely environment and everyone helps each other.

We pride our selves on a committed long term dedicated work force, many who have been working at Belmont villa in excess of 10 years, providing excellent continuity for both residents and families. We truly are a family home.

Induction training for all staff is provided by a trained in-house experienced, qualified, senior staff. induction training covers 15 standards meeting the requirements of the care certificate.

Staff also benefit from a committed on going training program both in house and externally ensuring that all staff and practice is both research based and current, meeting the care quality commission regulations.

The home actively encourages all Care Assistants to achieve the diploma in care as a minimum. 75% of our staff have, or are working towards this.

The team of long serving professional Registered Nurses regularly attend internal and external study sessions as well as provide training and support for care staff. A number of RN’s are nominated link nurses to external nursing professionals such as infection control, palliative care, medication management etc.
